Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026 · Version 2026-10-v1

"A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter." — Proverbs 11:13 (KJV)

Why we do this: what you share here — your faith, your church, your prayers — is personal. We want to be faithful with it. The policy below describes what we actually do.

This Privacy Policy explains how Turner Vine Holdings LLC ("LikeFaithLink," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use likefaithlink.com and related services (the "Service"), and the choices and rights you have. You acknowledge it when you accept our Terms and Agreement (Section 18), and the separate consents described below are given on our Acceptance and Consent screen.

1. A special note about faith and health information

Because LikeFaithLink is a faith community, much of what you share can reveal your religious or philosophical beliefs. Examples include your church affiliation, the ministries you follow, your prayer requests, and your profile. Several U.S. state privacy laws treat religious beliefs as sensitive data. Prayer requests can also reveal health information, family matters, and details about other people. Several state laws give that information special protection as "consumer health data."

We ask for two separate consents on our Acceptance and Consent screen at sign-up. Each is an unchecked box, and neither is bundled with accepting our Terms and Agreement:

  1. Faith and religious information: consent to collect and process information that reveals your religious beliefs, to provide the faith-based features you use.
  2. Health information in prayer requests: consent to collect and process any health information you choose to include in prayer requests. If you skip it at sign-up, we'll ask again before your first prayer post.

You can withdraw either consent at any time (see Section 10). Some features may then stop working. We keep a record of each consent and each withdrawal, including the version and the time.

The Harvest. At the end of The Way you can choose to tell us whether you trusted Christ just now, trusted Christ before, or are still seeking. Answering is optional, and no sign-in is needed. Your answer goes into the public Harvest totals only if you also tick a separate, unticked box. We don't ask for your name, contact details or age. Your answer is stored against a random code for that visit, kept only as a one-way fingerprint, and only aggregate numbers are ever shown. Church totals are shown only when a church has at least 5 reports in the period. Soul winners may choose to include their own "Trusted Christ" log entries, and nothing about the listener is stored. Testimonies are published only when you press Share, with the audience you pick, and you can edit or delete them. Harvest data is never used for advertising or profiling.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: name, email address, date of birth or age confirmation (to confirm you're 18+), LikeFaithMatch age-gate confirmation, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and sign-in method.
  • Profile information: display name, photo, location (such as city and state), bio, interests, whether you choose to appear in the Members directory, and anything else you add.
  • Faith and church affiliation: your church, denomination or tradition, ministries and missionaries you follow, and roles such as church administrator or moderator.
  • Church-claim information: your role at a church and information you provide to verify authority (for example, church email, documents, or leadership confirmation).
  • Messages: the content of private messages you send and receive, and related information (time, sender, recipient).
  • Prayer requests and prayer activity: prayer requests you post (which may contain health information, see Section 5), "I prayed" responses, and any text you enter into AI-assisted prayer features.
  • Posts, listings, and other content: posts, photos, comments, business and marketplace listings, AgapeGrove offers, charity and activism efforts, missionary listings, prayer letters, music submissions, and job postings and applications. (Job applicant information is also covered by the Applicant Privacy Notice linked from the Job Board Terms.)
  • Family Groups: timelines and photos that adult members share in a private Family Group. These may include information and images of family members, including children, posted and controlled by a parent or guardian (children don't have accounts; see Section 11).
  • LikeFaithMatch (18+): if you use it, your age-gate confirmation, the match profile you choose to share, and — only with your separate consent — confidential questionnaire answers (including religious beliefs, treated as sensitive information) used for automated compatibility profiling. Other members see only aggregate compatibility percentages, which are derived from your answers and are not anonymous. Details: LikeFaithMatch Privacy & Matching Disclosure (/policies/likefaithmatch).
  • Acceptance and consent records: the version of the Terms and Agreement you accepted, the time, and the state of each consent checkbox.
  • Dispute records: if you use our dispute or Matthew 18 resolution process, the information you and others provide.
  • Payments: when you buy a Member plan, marketplace plan, or Item Boost, Stripe collects your payment card and billing details directly. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as your name, email, billing country or ZIP, the last four digits and brand of your card, subscription status, and transaction history. We don't receive or store your full card number.
  • Communications with us: support requests, reports, appeals, and privacy requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage information: pages and features you use, content you view, follows, searches, clicks, and dates and times.
  • Device and log information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, and error logs.
  • Approximate location: derived from IP address, and precise location only if you choose "Use my location" or similar features and allow it in your browser.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 9.

Information from others

  • Other users may share information about you (for example, tagging you, mentioning you in a prayer request, or adding you to a family group).
  • Public sources: some church and ministry directory profiles may be built from publicly available information before a church claims them (for example, from public church websites and public directories).
  • Service providers such as Stripe (payment status) and our authentication provider.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  1. Provide the Service: create and manage accounts, show profiles and the directory, deliver messages, power your feed, display prayer requests, and run listings, jobs, charity, activism, missions, music, and marketplace features.
  2. Help you connect with like-faith believers and filter content according to your follows and settings.
  3. Process church claims and verify authority.
  4. Generate AI-assisted prayer content when you ask for it (Section 4).
  5. Process payments, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
  6. Keep the Service safe: detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and scams; enforce our Terms; review reports; and protect users.
  7. Communicate with you about your account, transactions, changes to our policies, and (with your consent where required) news and features. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  8. Understand and improve the Service, fix bugs, and develop features, using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
  9. Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use your religious-belief information, prayer requests, or messages for targeted advertising.

4. AI processing of prayer content

When you use AI-assisted prayer features, the text you enter (and any context the feature sends, such as a prayer topic) is sent to our third-party AI provider, OpenAI, through our AI gateway, to generate a response. We send the text you enter (for prayer encouragement, up to 2,000 characters; for FaithGuide, your conversation history), the instructions our app needs to generate a response, and, for prayer encouragement, a catalog of KJV Bible verse texts. Other AI-assisted tools send only the document or website text involved (for example, resume review or church website auto-fill). Your name, email address, and account identifiers are not included in what is sent.

  • Our AI provider processes requests under zero-data-retention settings: the provider does not use your text to train its AI models.
  • With our current settings, the provider does not keep your text after generating a response. Text flagged by the provider's safety systems may be retained for safety review.
  • Please don't include other people's names, health details, or private information in AI prompts without their permission.
  • AI prayer content may be inaccurate. See our AI Prayer Disclaimer.

5. Health information in prayer requests

  • We are not covered by HIPAA. LikeFaithLink is not a health care provider, health plan, or health care clearinghouse, and it is not a HIPAA "covered entity" or "business associate." Prayer requests are not medical records. We protect any health information you share as described here and as state law requires.
  • Please keep it general. Our Terms and Agreement (Section 14) ask you not to post specific diagnoses, medications, test results, or similar details, and never to post someone else's health information without permission. We may edit or remove requests that do.
  • Consent. We collect and process health information in prayer requests only with your separate, express consent (Section 1). We use it only to provide the prayer features you choose, including AI prayer helps if you use them.
  • Sharing. Health information in prayer requests is shown to other members according to the visibility setting you choose (Public, your followers, a Family Group, or only you). It is processed by our service providers (hosting, database, and, if you use AI prayer helps, OpenAI) only to provide the Service. We do not sell consumer health data, and we don't share it for advertising.
  • Your rights. You can access or delete your prayer requests, and withdraw consent, at any time (Section 10).

6. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under California law). We don't use advertising pixels, data brokers, or ad-tech, and we don't use analytics tools.

We share information only as follows:

  • With other users, based on your choices. Your profile, posts, prayer requests, listings, and activity are visible to others according to the feature and your settings. Messages are visible to the people in the conversation. Content in Family Groups is visible to group members.
  • With church administrators and moderators. Church moderators can see, and may add or remove, content posted in their church's spaces, including information about who posted it. They act for their church, not for LikeFaithLink, and they must protect what they see. They don't get access to your private messages outside those spaces, and they don't get access to your payment information.
  • With service providers that help us run the Service under contracts that limit their use of your information, including: hosting, database, and authentication providers (our app platform, which provides our hosting, database, authentication, and file storage); Stripe (payments); OpenAI (AI prayer content and other AI-assisted tools, through our AI gateway); email delivery for account and security emails (currently through our authentication provider); mapping (Google Maps); and analytics or error monitoring (none at this time).
  • With the organizations you contact. When you apply for a job, respond to a listing, volunteer, or contact a church, missionary, organizer, or business, we share the information you choose to send them. They use it under their own privacy practices.
  • For legal, safety, and rights protection. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it's needed to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful government requests, protect anyone's safety, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to NCMEC as required by law.
  • In a business transfer. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the successor, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that can't reasonably identify you.

7. Retention

We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, then delete or de-identify it. In general:

  • Account and profile: while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account, except as below.
  • Messages and posts: until you or the other participant delete them or your account is deleted; copies in recipients' inboxes may remain.
  • Prayer requests and AI prompts: 90 days; AI provider retention per Section 4.
  • Payment and transaction records: as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (7 years).
  • Acceptance and consent records: for as long as your account exists and for 7 years afterward, to show what you agreed to.
  • Safety and enforcement records: as long as reasonably needed to protect the community and comply with law.
  • Backups: overwritten on a rolling 30-day schedule.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as encryption in transit, database row-level security that limits each member's access to their own data, and strict access controls on who can see what. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee security. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away at support@likefaithlink.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We'll notify you of a data breach as required by law.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to sign you in, keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the Service. We don't use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. You can control cookies in your browser, but blocking necessary cookies may break sign-in. Because we don't sell or share personal information for advertising, we don't process Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

10. Your choices and rights

Everyone can:

  • Review and update profile information in your settings.
  • Choose whether to appear in the Members directory.
  • Delete posts, prayer requests, and listings you created.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email.
  • Delete your account (see Help).
  • Withdraw your faith-information consent or your health-information consent at any time by contacting privacy@likefaithlink.com.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), and depending on whether those laws apply to us, you may have the right to:

  • Know / access the personal information we have about you and get a portable copy;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your information;
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling (we don't do these);
  • Consent before we process sensitive data such as religious beliefs, and withdraw that consent, or limit use of sensitive personal information (California);
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights; and
  • Appeal our decision on your request.

To make a request, email privacy@likefaithlink.com or use our Contact page. We'll verify your identity (usually by confirming control of your account email) before acting. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject; if you're unhappy with the outcome of an appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

11. Children's privacy

  • Accounts are 18+. You must be 18 or older to have an account, and LikeFaithMatch has its own separate 18+ gate.
  • No accounts for minors, and no collection from children. Minors, including children under 13, don't have accounts, and we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18.
  • Family Groups. Children may appear only in private Family Groups, through content posted and controlled by a parent or legal guardian (or another adult family member with the parent's or guardian's permission). Minors don't have public profiles, directory listings, or messaging. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete content about their child at any time by contacting privacy@likefaithlink.com, and we will.
  • Future children's features. Before we offer any feature that lets children use the Service themselves, we'll publish separate Children's Terms and a children's privacy notice. If it involves children under 13, we'll obtain verifiable parental consent as required by COPPA and the FTC's COPPA Rule, as amended.
  • If you believe a minor has an account or has given us personal information, contact privacy@likefaithlink.com. We'll delete it.

12. International users

The Service is operated from, and intended for users in, the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect, and where the law requires, we'll ask for your consent (for example, before using sensitive data in a new way). The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.

14. Disputes

Privacy disputes between you and LikeFaithLink are resolved under the Biblical Dispute Resolution Agreement in Section 27 of our Terms and Agreement, including its carve-outs. Nothing in it limits your right to contact a regulator such as your state attorney general.
