Help & FAQ

Effective October 14, 2026 · Version 2026-10-v1

These answers are a friendly summary. If anything here differs from our Terms and Agreement or Privacy Policy, those documents control. Still stuck? Contact us.

Accounts

Who can join? Adults 18 and older. You'll confirm your age when you sign up. People under 18 can't have their own accounts. Children may appear only in private Family Groups, through content their parent or guardian posts and controls (see "Families and children" below).

What do I agree to when I sign up? On the Create account tab (and before Google sign-up) you'll see four separate boxes, none of them pre-checked and no "accept all":

  1. I am 18 or older. Required.
  2. I agree to the Terms and Agreement, including the Biblical Dispute Resolution Agreement (§27), and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Required.
  3. I consent to LikeFaithLink processing my faith and religious information. Required, because a faith community can't work without it.
  4. I consent to LikeFaithLink processing health information I choose to include in prayer requests. Optional; leaving it unchecked is fine. "Create account" stays off until the three required boxes are checked. We keep a dated record of each answer. You can see and withdraw your consents anytime in Account → Privacy. Withdrawing the faith consent closes your account (it's hidden and you're signed out); withdrawing the health consent only stops health details in prayer requests.

Why do I have to accept the Terms again? When we make a material change, we'll ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue.

How do I create an account? Choose "Sign in" and follow the prompts. Use accurate information and keep your password private. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google sign-in.

Can I control who finds me? Yes. Members are findable and public by default so your church family can find you. You can hide yourself or limit who sees you anytime in Account → Name & privacy.

I forgot my password. Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen.

Opens like an app, loads faster, and keeps you signed in.

In-app browsers

Open this page in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) first — in-app browsers cannot add to the home screen

Desktop

In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.

Early access

LikeFaithLink is in early access. Everything works and the Member plan is live, but you may still find rough edges. If something looks wrong, send us a note from the Contact page and include the version shown at the bottom of any page.

Photos and videos

Photos up to 50 MB can be added to posts from the post box. To share a video, upload it to YouTube first, then paste the YouTube link into your post — the video plays right inside The Scroll and family timelines. Videos on YouTube follow YouTube's own terms and privacy settings; choose "Unlisted" there if you only want people with the link to find it.

Families and children

Can my children use LikeFaithLink? Not with their own accounts, for now. Parents and guardians can include their children in a private Family Group by posting family updates and photos themselves. Children have no logins, no public profiles, no directory listings, and no messaging, and no one may message a child through LikeFaithLink. Before any feature for children launches, we'll publish separate Children's Terms and a parental-consent process. For children under 13, that will include the verifiable parental consent federal law (COPPA) requires.

Who controls my child's photos? You do, as the parent or guardian. Only you (or an adult family member with your permission) may post about your child, and you can delete it at any time. Keep photos appropriate, and don't show your child's school, home, or location. See Family Groups & Minors.

Is The Walk open to everyone? No. The Walk is only for single adults 18 and older, and it has its own separate age confirmation and safety notice. See the The Walk Safety Notice.

Church profiles and claims

How does a church claim its profile? Find your church in the directory and choose the claim option. Claiming and managing a church profile is always free. We may ask for information to verify that you are authorized to act for the church, for example a church email address, a website or public listing that names you, or a confirmation from church leadership.

Someone else claimed our church. What do we do? Send us a church-claim dispute through our Contact page (category: Church-claim disputes). Include the church name, profile link, your role, and anything that shows your authority. We may pause the profile, ask both sides for information, and decide who manages it. Our decision covers access on LikeFaithLink only. It does not decide any legal or church-governance question between you. If you disagree with it, or with the other claimant, use the Matthew 18 dispute process (see "Disagreements and disputes" below).

Does claiming a church cost anything? No. Churches are always free to claim and manage.

Moderation

Who moderates content? Two layers work together:

  1. LikeFaithLink enforces platform-wide rules (our Terms, Community Guidelines, the law, and safety) everywhere on the site.
  2. Church moderator teams may moderate their own church's local ministry space. They can add or remove content in line with that church's doctrine and practice, and they can be stricter than our rules there. They cannot permit anything our rules forbid.

Church moderators act for their church, not for LikeFaithLink. Read the full Church Moderation Policy.

A church moderator removed my post. Can I appeal? Inside a church's own space, that church decides what fits its doctrine and practice, so start by talking with the church. If you believe moderation was abusive, harassing, discriminatory in a way the law prohibits, or used to hide illegal or unsafe activity, report it to LikeFaithLink. We'll review it, but we generally won't override a church's good-faith doctrinal choices about its own space.

Reporting content

How do I report something? Use the report option on the post, profile, listing, or message, or use our Contact page (category: Safety reports). Tell us what's wrong and include a link or screenshot if you can.

What happens after I report? We review reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, or contact law enforcement. We may not be able to tell you the outcome, to protect everyone's privacy.

Someone is in danger right now. Call 911 or your local emergency number first. LikeFaithLink is not an emergency service.

Blocking and filtering

Can I block someone? Not yet. For now, please report the person using the report option or our Contact page, and we'll take action on the account.

How do I filter out content I don't want? Follow the people, churches, ministries, and businesses you want to see; your feed shows updates from what you follow. Filtering is a tool to help you, not a guarantee. Some content may still get through, so please report anything that breaks our rules.

Member plan and billing

What does the Member plan include? Here is exactly what is free and what the Member plan adds:

Free for everyone:

  • Church and ministry pages
  • Directory search and the map
  • The whole Bible (KJV)
  • The Way, including live follow-along

Member plan — everything else: The Scroll (posts, prayer requests, "I prayed", comments, reactions and your prayer list); Discover (the Members directory, following, messages, groups and Music); Serve, Marketplace and Callings; The Walk and Family; Bible reading plans, devotionals, Faith Journey and AI prayer helps. $3.99/month or $39.99/year ($2.99/month or $29.99/year in the Philippines).

The price for your country is shown on our pricing page and at checkout; the final price follows your billing address.

Does it renew automatically? Yes. The Member plan renews automatically each month (or each year on the annual plan) and charges your payment method until you cancel. We'll show the price and renewal terms before you subscribe.

How do I cancel? Cancel any time from your account settings (Profile → My account → Subscription). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Who processes payments? Stripe. We don't store your full card number.

What are marketplace plans? Women in Business and Men in Business marketplace plans (for example Business Starter, Marketplace Pro, and Featured Spotlight) are optional monthly add-ons on top of the Member plan, for Christian-owned businesses. One marketplace plan at a time, and an active Member plan is required. Current prices: Business Starter $9.99/month or $99.99/year, Marketplace Pro $14.99/month or $149.99/year, Featured Spotlight $24.99/month or $249.99/year.

Item Boost

What are Music listing plans? Single costs $29.99/month for one reviewed listing; Collection costs $59.99/month for up to eight listings. Includes Member plan access, so a separate Member subscription is not required. Both renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Profile → My account → Subscription; you keep access through the paid period. Full refund of your most recent charge if requested within 7 calendar days. Existing Member subscribers can cancel that separate plan and retain access through their active Music listing plan. Paying does not bypass moderator review.

What is an Item Boost? A one-time $7 purchase that features one of your items for 30 days. Start it from "Your posts" when creating a post.

Can I get a refund on an Item Boost? An Item Boost is non-refundable once it has been applied, unless the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong (for example a duplicate charge, or the boost never started) contact us.

Refunds

Can I get a refund on the Member plan? Yes — for subscriptions bought directly through LikeFaithLink's website, you may request a full refund of your most recent charge within seven (7) calendar days of that charge, including a renewal. Contact support@likefaithlink.com from your account email and include your receipt or transaction reference. When a charge is refunded, the paid membership for that charge ends and future renewals are cancelled; your free account and free church participation remain available. After the seven-day window, subscription charges are generally non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise or where we approve an exception for a billing error or service issue. See Billing & Refunds.

I was charged by mistake. Contact us (category: Support) within seven (7) calendar days of the charge with the date and amount. We'll look into it.

The Way

Which languages are available in The Way? English, Tagalog, Cebuano and Spanish (Español). Tagalog, Cebuano and Spanish explanations, questions and interface wording are draft translations pending native-speaker review. Scripture always remains in English from the King James Version (KJV).

Prayer and AI

What is AI-assisted prayer content? Some prayer helps on the Prayer page are generated with artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI. AI can be wrong, can misquote Scripture, and cannot know your heart or your situation. It is not pastoral counseling and not a substitute for your own prayer, Scripture, or your church. See the AI Prayer Disclaimer.

Who can see my prayer requests? That depends on how you share them: Public, Followers, Family, or Only me. Prayer requests may reveal sensitive things about you or others. If you use AI prayer helps, the text you enter is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. See our Privacy Policy.

How much should I share about health in a prayer request? Please keep it general, for example "Please pray for healing for my family member." Don't post diagnoses, medications, test results, or treatment details, especially about someone else, and never share another person's health information without their permission. We may edit or remove requests that include specific health details. See Prayer & Health Information.

Is LikeFaithLink HIPAA-compliant? HIPAA doesn't apply to LikeFaithLink. HIPAA covers health care providers, health plans, and their business associates, and we are none of those. Prayer requests are not medical records. We protect health information you choose to share under our Privacy Policy and state privacy laws, which is why we ask for your separate consent and ask you to keep it general.

Why am I asked for consent before my first prayer post? Some state laws require express consent before collecting health information. If you didn't give the health-information consent at sign-up, we'll ask once before your first prayer request. You can still use everything else without it.

Jobs

Is it free to post or apply? Yes. Posting and applying on Callings are free.

Does LikeFaithLink check employers or jobs? No. We don't guarantee any job, employer, pay, or outcome. Never pay an application fee or send money to get a job, and report suspected fraud. See the Job Board Terms and the Equal Employment Opportunity Notice.

Giving, charity, and missions

Does LikeFaithLink vet charities or missionaries? No. Listings are posted by churches, organizers, and members. Give at your own risk and check out any person or organization before you give. We don't give tax advice, and we can't tell you whether a gift is tax-deductible. See the Giving, Charity & Missions Disclaimer.

Safety

How do I stay safe? Never send money, gift cards, or financial or identity documents to someone you met online. Be careful sharing your address, workplace, or children's information. Meet in public places and tell someone where you'll be. Report anything that feels wrong. See our Safety & Messaging Notice.

Disagreements and disputes

What happens if I have a dispute with another member or with LikeFaithLink? We follow Matthew 18:15–17. First, talk privately. If that doesn't work, bring one or two witnesses. Then take it to each person's church leadership. Each step has a time limit. If it's still not resolved, each side chooses a pastor, and the two pastors decide. If they can't agree, they choose a third, and the three-member panel's decision is final and binding. See Terms and Agreement § 27 and why this is our model.

Does that mean I can't go to court? For covered disputes, yes. Members and LikeFaithLink agree not to sue each other, except for the listed exceptions: emergency court orders, claims the law doesn't allow to be arbitrated (such as certain sexual assault or harassment claims), small-claims court, and court action to enforce the decision. You can opt out of binding arbitration within 30 days of first accepting the Terms.

What about crimes, abuse, or someone in danger? Those always go to the authorities first. Call 911 or your local police, or child protective services. Nothing in our dispute process discourages or delays reporting abuse or a crime, and no one has to meet privately with someone who harmed them.

I'm not a Christian. Do I have to use pastors? No. You can choose the Neutral Fallback — informal negotiation and then a neutral, secular arbitrator — when a dispute starts. Choosing it is never held against you.

Who pays for the pastors? Each side pays its own pastor (many serve for free), and the cost of a third arbitrator is shared. When the dispute is with LikeFaithLink, we pay the third arbitrator's fees and administrative costs.

How do I start? Send a "Matthew 18 Dispute Notice" to disputes@likefaithlink.com or use "Request dispute resolution" in the app. See our Contact page.

Deleting your account

How do I delete my account? Go to Profile → Account and choose "Delete my account," then type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm. Any paid Member plan is canceled immediately before anything else is removed, with no refund for the remaining period; if you joined within the last 7 days, contact support before deleting. Messages you sent show as "Deleted member." You can also contact us (category: Privacy requests).

Can I download my data first? Yes. On Profile → Account choose "Prepare my data download," then "Download my data." You get a JSON file with your member profile, posts, comments, prayers and prayer list, Walk profile and answers, consent records and plan records.

What happens to my data? Right away, we remove your sign-in, your uploaded photos and files, your About Me, Walk profile and answers, family memberships, saved items, prayer list and phone notifications, and clear your name and location from your profile. Your posts, their photos and your comments are deleted; a comment others replied to stays as "[Removed]" so the replies still make sense, shown as "Deleted member". Church or ministry pages you alone run become unclaimed (the page and its posts stay), and groups or families you alone run pass to their longest-standing member. We keep your consent records, safety reports and billing records for legal, billing, safety, and fraud-prevention reasons, and we log the deletion so remaining copies are handled within 30 days. Messages you sent stay readable to the people you sent them to, shown as "Deleted member". Afterwards your email can be used to sign up again. See our Privacy Policy for details.
